All items are sold as described. It is strongly recommended that customers contact British Military Swords before a sale is agreed in order that they can fully ascertain the condition of a piece. All questions will be answered promptly and accurately.

All customers are allowed a five day inspection period from the date of arrival of the item at destination. CUSTOMERS MUST INFORM BRITISH MILITARY SWORDS OF THE ARRIVAL OF THEIR ITEM(S) IN ORDER THAT THE INSPECTION PERIOD CAN BEGIN. If the item(s), is/are unacceptable, customers must clearly indicate why this is.

The five day inspection will be strictly adhered to unless prior arrangements are made in advance. I inspect items and describe them as carefully as I can, but I am not infallible. I never list anything that I do not think is original, but there are people who have been altering and faking items for many years and sometimes alterations are very difficult to determine. Within your inspection period you must satisfy yourself as to the originality of a piece. Acceptance of the item after this inspection period will bar me from any future claims or liability in case the item is subsequently determined to be altered or faked. Please treat the inspection period seriously as it is your chance to inspect an item, have a professional inspect an item and determine originality and condition.

All items sold are guaranteed original unless otherwise stated.

Any item returned must be in the same condition as when sent. British Military Swords will not accept items that have been damaged in transit, so please ensure that packing is secure.

If an item is damaged whilst in transit to a customer from British Military Swords, please retain all original packaging. Photographs of this packaging and the damaged item(s) is also required in order that a valid insurance claim can be made. Please do not send back damaged items without prior consent from British Military Swords.
